Holiday's coming to an end

5 weeks of holiday. Doesnt seem all that long at all. Alas the final long holiday is going to finish. Leaving kuching in another 5 days.

Entering another phase of my life with a bang!

Still we don’t have the academic schedule of Melaka Campus! ARGH!

When else will there be flights to taiwan going so cheap? =.=” DAMN!

Oh anyway, it’s March already.

hehe. sorry guys been kinda lazy to update back here at home. hehe.. there’s actually lots to update but.. just lazy ler. I’ll see what i can do.. hehehe

Postings Over!

Semester 5 postings are officially over yesterday! woohoo!

But.. Damn.. psychiatry is tough.. tougher than any other postings man.. the most difficult part would be to try to stay awake during the classes and case discussions.. And most of the classes the lecturers/doctors don’t make sense at all.. not that i didnt pay attention.. sigh

Wait. If postings are over, means it’s time for CELEBRATIONS?

WRONG

unfortunately for us, there’s comprehensive exams coming up in less than 24 hours’ time. And i’ve only started studying for it.

Lesson learned? never do things last minute. NEVER.

I figured if i don’t sleep for the next 48 hours + or so, i might be able to finish studying for the 2 papers. But that would be impossible. Argh

Nevermind la. At least the marks are not brought forward to Melaka. Or is it? hmmmm..

Countdown : Less than 54 hours at Manipal! woots! =)

Completed!

The boxes to be cargo-ed back to M’sia.. with books and other what-nots. I’m done!

Phew.

Hopefully I packed enough so that won’t overweight when i leave coming Friday.

Of course, no post would be complete without a countdown.

Ombattu Dina!

Yeah i know.. plagiarism.. =P Took the idea for the title from Aaron’s post. haha.

For those that don’t know.. Ombattu is nine in kannada. Dina means day.

OMG the countdown has already gone down to a single digit!

9 more days at Manipal, India! 9 more days to completing 2 and a half years here.. Then I’ll be half a doctor. supposedly anyway. Actual figure might be much less than quoted. =P

But there are like soo many things to do! First to come up would be to finish up packing for the boxes and send them. Then there’s psychiatry end postings exam next tuesday, Comprehensive exam on thursday and friday.. Then only leaving on friday itself. But beforehand need to go get the permit settled at SP office udupi. Probably need to submit letter to BSNL applying to cut my internet line. Need to give out certain things i wont be bringing back too. And need to go shop for some new clothes if possible. Busy days ahead.. busy days.

Less than 18 days. Gonna leave this place, Manipal. SO soon. Until then there’s no more holidays for us.. the longest one just ended today. Urgh. 3 days break (Sunday, obviously; Monday – because WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS; Tuesday – Republic day) feels so short. And basically wasted because I haven’t done anything meaningful. Just longing to go back. And browsing online websites for stuff to buy. XD

Watched 2012 *finally* yesterday. Basically a long movie of 2 hours and 37 minutes, but worth it. Awesome movie! I’d give it 4 out of 5.  =) Moral of the story? Go to africa in 2012. It’s not going to be affected by the flood, if the Mayans are correct with their predictions. However it does give you something to ponder about.. that if their predictions are so reliable how come they didn’t predict the fall of their own civilization? And prevent it? Perhaps their philosophy is that they shouldn’t mess with the future? Don’t try to change the future because it will affect the space-time-continuum, and cause a Butterfly effect? sounds very cheem huh? From Heroes la.

End of 5th Posting

19th January 2010. The last day of my posting at T.M.A Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala. Was kinda enjoyable day because basically we finished our end posting exams on the day before. All that was left was 1 presentation about Hepatosplenomegaly by my group, and that’s that. We didn’t even go to the ward. =P

So what did we do? Camwhore of course! There’re like 2 dSLRs in my group.. so basically there’re a lot of photo-taking involved. =P

It was soooo relaxed that the classroom for Medicine was actually used to..

Watch HOUSE! Sure is cool watching these stuff on big screens. Although the colour reproduction of the projector isnt that suitable for watching movies/dramas.. but better than nothing, right?

  And.. with a projector around, who’d let go of the chance to take a snap with the oh-so-cute-girl you like from that drama? xD

It was the prize giving ceremony by MMMC for the various interbatch sports and cultural events for the year 2009 last saturday, 16/1/2010

I guess the dean must be pissed because there are sooo little people who showed up. Initially i didnt intend to go as well, because i had 2 freakin long medicine case sheets to write that was due on monday. But halfway through writing, several text messages came telling us to go to Hotel Valley View ASAP because there were more lecturers than students.. =.=”

And when i got there.. this guy was already giving his speech. So damn embarassing okay..

It’s the new year again. Happy new year people!

Yeah yeah it’s already 3rd day of 2010. But there’s still 362 more days!

Erm. What has happened since my last update? The usual, nothing new.

1/1/2010 – Posting as usual. No holiday. Damn sad. The only consolation is that it’s just half day Udupi posting instead of travelling to Karkala. Isnt there an association of some sort that we can appeal to because of this? If there isnt there should be one! They just rob us students of our holidays, and expect to get away with it? Is there any justice left? =P

But anyway.. I wont be celebrating any more new year here so.. to hell with it.. None of my business anymore. lol

2/1/2010 – Also posting, but the good thing is at least it’s also half day. And the doc was in a good mood. So not bad lar. And also, Medical Ethics class will be ending after next saturday. Yay!

3/1/2010 – First Sunday of the year! The only day of the week that i don’t have to wake up at 7am for class.

Oh and today is the birthday of my beloved sis, who is currently at home for holiday.

Last Post for 2009

It’s already 2010 in M’sia.

Here in Manipal, there’s still 1 hour to go.

Then it’s the end of 2009.

Actually i had the intention to do a review of what i did during 2009, but there’s not enough time left for that probably. haha. So.. just check back the 2009 blog archives la. Easier.

But.. it’s definitely sad though. Why?

I think we’re in the only freakin country  in the whole world that DOES NOT HAVE HOLIDAY ON NEW YEAR’S DAY!

yeah, that’s right.

What the hell man..

But don’t care la. 44 days left at India sorta compensates for it. Urgh.

The only consolation is like it’s only half day posting tomorrow.. =)

enough complaining i guess.
